Astuzia Coaching Philosophy:

Astuzia believe coaching is about teaching, training, instructing, and helping people to learn skills, improve performance and ultimately reach their potential.

Astuzia adapt their coaching style to suit the individual needs and wants of each player. Their belief extends further to gaining life experiences, recognising and understanding individual needs on a social and emotional level as well as instilling tennis etiquette and values such as respect, trust, honesty and to always encourage others.

Astuzia Coaching Program:

The primary focus of the Astuzia Coaching Program is enjoyment, improvement and inclusivity. Astuzia strive to maximise individual’s playing ability and aims to ensure that they have a sound understanding of the game to get them to a level where they feel comfortable and satisfied.

Catering for everyone, Astuzia offer an extensive coaching program from beginner to advanced players and from social to competitive players, in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Astuzia have programs for ID or Autism Players as well as Para Standing Players.

Safeguarding Children and Young People:

Tennis Australia and Astuzia has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of child abuse and is committed to ensuring the sport of tennis is a safe and friendly environment for children and young people.

We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child who participates in our programs, activities and services. We strive to create an environment in which children are safe, feel free, respected, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We endeavour to ensure children who are involved with our programs, activities and services are not harmed, abused, or exploited. We listen to children and will address any concerns they raise with us. We are committed to communicating honestly and openly with parents or guardians about the wellbeing and safety of their children.

Astuzia’s Incentive Program:

Example:

Players are recognised for their commitment to the Astuzia program, Benefits include:

• All new enrolments receive a FREE hat and back pack.

• First Term Players Receive a Certificate and Ribbon.

• Four Consecutive terms of tennis coaching players will receive a Astuzia Medal in recognition of their commitment and dedication to their tennis.

• Game and Lolly Week will take place mid-term and during the last week of term.

• Christmas BBQ and Presentation will be held at the completion of the coaching year in Term Four. An email will be sent out during term four with the details, date, time, etc. Astuzia will provide food and drink, tennis activities, free raffle and present the awards to their coaching students.

Important Information:

• NO lessons will be conducted on Public Holidays, you will NOT be charged for these lessons.

• If students have any medical conditions or allergies that Astuzia need to be informed of please contact us.

• As food and drink will be provided at Astuzia events, lollies and chocolates during game week, if any student has an allergy, please inform Astuzia.

• Astuzia take NO responsibility for consequences that may occur if they are not communicated prior about any medical conditions or allergies.

• During coaching lessons, holiday clinics, and at BBQs / Presentations, photographs will be taken and displayed in the clubhouse and on social media, please let Astuzia know if you prefer not to be on social media.

Missed Lessons and Make Up Lesson Policy:

• If a student cannot attend a lesson Astuzia must be notified via a text message or email 24 hours prior to the lesson, otherwise NO makeup will be given.

• Please note credited lessons will ONLY be given for extended illness or injury.

• If Astuzia needs to cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will be arranged.

• Astuzia reserves the rights to conduct makeup lessons at an alternate time or day to student’s normal lesson time.

Inclement Weather Policies:

Wet Weather Policy:

• In the case of wet weather, a maximum of 2 indoor sessions will be conducted.

• In the event a third washout occurs, lessons will be cancelled and Astuzia will contact you via a text message no later than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time.

• Students are expected to turn up as normal unless they receive a text message from Astuzia.

• Makeup lesson will ONLY be given if Astuzia cancels the lesson.

Heat Policy:

• In the case of extreme heat, a maximum of 2 indoor sessions will be conducted.

• In the event a third extreme heat policy occurs – a temperature of 36 degrees and above, lessons will be cancelled and Astuzia will contact you via a text message no later than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time.

• Students are expected to turn up as normal unless they receive a text message from Astuzia.

• Makeup lesson will ONLY be given if Astuzia cancels the lesson.
